Religious Education
At the heart of Saint Peter Claver School's history and mission is the religious formation of the students. The school community recognizes that children are indeed a blessing from the Lord and that the foremost responsibility of adults is to teach children to love, honor, and serve God. It is their responsibility to call children to live justly, compassionately, truthfully, and prayerfully in a society that is often harsh and self-centered. Above all, those who provide this formation must be living examples of faith, generosity and righteousness.
The faith formation of our students is provided through daily instruction in Religion classes, an active life of prayer and worship, and service to our school and community. Of greatest importance in the development of our children, is the atmosphere of Saint Peter Claver School. The dignity and honor of each member of the school community is upheld and esteemed in the school's expectations, policies, and standards. In such an environment, students are able to learn respectfully, to love reverently, and to live responsibly. Moreover, the support and care of a loving community is paramount to their Christian growth and development.
