Philosophy and Goals

We, the pastor, the staff, and parents of St. Peter Claver Catholic School believe in the God-given dignity and uniqueness of each person. We commit ourselves to assist families in fostering the spiritual, academic, emotional, social, and physical growth of the students. Through a curriculum rooted in gospel values, we strive to educate our students to take their places in the church and the society of the 21st century.

Goals of Saint Peter Claver School:

1. To provide a religious education program that will nurture the faith and spiritual growth of the students.
2. To foster respect and concern for human life and all of God's creation.
3. To provide learning opportunities which foster the development of life-long habits of learning, effective communication skills, critical and creative thinking, self-confidence and responsible decision-making, and the ability to work cooperatively in group settings.
4. To provide opportunities for the students to master the basic academic skills necessary for future learning.
5. To provide opportunities for the professional and theological development of the faculty and the School Board.
6. To promote the active involvement of parents/guardians in the education of their children.
